Well abandonment cost estimate.

• By mapping attribute sets from well data around the world and training algorithms with completed Plug and Abandonment operations we can estimate the real cost of the P&A liability to an auditable standard.

Create a well schematic with basic engineering requirements to comply with regulator requirements.

• With the capability to correlate thousands of wells in multiple locations we will be able to predict well attributes in the event well data is not available. This is important for not only P&A activities but also for repurposing wells in older fields.

Identifying risk of environmental release.

• By using the data and completed well information we can predict wells that have a high likelihood of environmental release or significant well integrity issues that can be costly to mitigate and that pose material, reputational, and operational risks. This will allow the operator to take a risk-priority approach to P&A campaigns.

Monitoring long-term Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO).

• As part of the Operators’ long-term ARO liability determination DWA can track liabilities for current assets and monitor liabilities that may continue following asset retirements, dispositions or acquisitions where the company could face ultimate responsibility as the surviving entity.

Alternative use cases.

• As emerging projects like CCUS and Geothermal conversions are implemented DWA can help identify reuse opportunities that may not be apparent to the Operator or Regulator.
